Whether you seek warm Florida sunshine or want to remain outdoors in fresh air as much as possible during the continuing COVID-19 pandemic following Disney World’s 2020 reopening, Disney World restaurants with outdoor seating are quite desirable.
This blog post is all about restaurants at Disney World where you can enjoy your meal outside.
Most outdoor dining locations at Disney World are quick service restaurants. Very few table service restaurants offer seating outside. So, all dining locations mentioned here can be assumed to be quick service and do not require reservations unless otherwise noted.
And while there are numerous snack and ice cream counters scattered all around Disney World, this post is all about places where you can sit down, relax, and get a meal outdoors inside the parks. In some cases where outdoor restaurant choices are few, I’ll also mention some of those food windows with limited menus that still have a table or two nearby to enjoy a meal.
During Disney World’s reopening period, not all of these outdoor restaurants are open. Always check Disney’s official list of available dining experiences before you leave for your trip so you won’t be surprised by unexpected restaurant closures.
As always, my free Disney World restaurant guides continue to be updated as well. Print these for planning your trip and note which restaurants are still closed.
Magic Kingdom Restaurants with Outdoor Seating
Unfortunately, outdoor dining at Disney’s Magic Kingdom isn’t plentiful.
Starting with the best choices, you’ll find amazing castle views while dining in an outdoor patio setting at Casey’s Corner right at the end of Main Street, USA. Casey’s exclusively serves a variety of hot dog variations and it’s right in the middle of all the action with its location beside the castle hub. Casey’s is also very popular so finding a table can be difficult most times of the day.
Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Tomorrowland and Pinocchio Village Haus in Fantasyland both primarily offer indoor seating, but have outdoor patios as well.
Tomorrowland Terrace is exclusively outdoors, though its location under a large concrete roof isn’t ideal if your primary dining criteria is fresh air. However, even under normal Disney World operating procedures, Tomorrowland Terrace is usually closed except during holiday high crowd levels.
Columbia Harbour House has a large indoor seating space on two floors, but there is also a smaller outdoor seating area beside the Liberty Square Market where you can bring your meal.
When considering a meal at one of the smaller dining locations with limited or specialty menus, both Friar’s Nook in Fantasyland and the Lunching Pad in Tomorrowland are entirely outdoors, but are also located in very congested areas so you’ll have many passersby while enjoying your food.
Sleepy Hollow Refreshments near the castle hub entrance to Liberty Square is a better choice for seating at a limited menu dining location. While offering fewer tables, they’re tucked out of the way from through traffic.
If you’re looking for al fresco table service dining at the Magic Kingdom, you’re mostly out of luck. All table service restaurants have indoor seating except for a few outdoor patio tables at Tony’s Town Square. Reservations there, however, won’t guarantee one of the outdoor tables.

Outdoor Dining at Epcot
Epcot offers the most dining options of all four Disney World parks and also the highest percentage with outdoor seating. Woo hoo!
Mexico’s La Cantina de San Angel features exclusively outdoor seating and you may even luck out by finding an empty table right beside the water.
Also in World Showcase, China’s Lotus Blossom Cafe, Regal Eagle Smokehouse at the American Adventure, Katsura Grill in Japan, and Morocco’s Tangierine Cafe are all quick service restaurants with full menus that offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Of those four, Katsura Grill has the best location off the beaten path.
If you don’t need a full menu, Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the United Kingdom only serves fish and chips, but there is ample waterfront al fresco seating right on the World Showcase lagoon.
Les Halles Boulangerie in France, Norway’s Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, and Germany’s Sommerfest also offer limited menus and an even more limited number of outdoor tables. Still, if you’re in the area and are comfortable with the seating options, the food at all three locations is fantastic!
Just want a pizza? You’ll find a pizza window at Via Napoli in Italy. It doesn’t serve the same large pies that are available inside at the table service restaurant, but it’ll do in a pinch for a quick meal and limited seating will be entirely outside in the large, open air courtyard.
Of course, there’s always a festival going on at Epcot and all your seating options when grazing the outdoor kitchens are outside.
Looking for table service dining outdoors at Epcot? You have two options. Both Morocco’s Spice Road Table and the UK’s Rose & Crown Dining Room offer indoor AND outdoor seating with the outdoor patios overlooking the World Showcase Lagoon. While outdoor seating isn’t guaranteed when making reservations, your views can’t be better if you’re able to snag one of those fresh air tables!
One final option to consider when looking for an Epcot restaurant with great air flow is Sunshine Seasons in The Land. While this quick service restaurant is indoors, the space is voluminous and finding a socially-distanced table shouldn’t be difficult.
Outdoor Hollywood Studios Restaurants
Hollywood Studios al fresco dining is certainly more limited than the other parks.
Located at the end of Sunset Boulevard near the Tower of Terror, Sunset Ranch offers exclusively outdoor seating from a trio of quick service restaurants – Catalina Eddie’s, Fairfax Fare, and Rosie’s All-American Cafe. Unfortunately, reviews of the food served here consistently rank pretty low and my family always tries to avoid them!
Woody’s Lunchbox is entirely outdoors, but also extremely busy and not open during Disney World’s initial reopening period.
PizzeRizzo offers mostly indoor seating, but also has a substantial balcony with numerous tables overlooking the Muppets Courtyard.
In Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Ronto Roasters has a limited menu and is located in a congested area where guests will constantly be walking by, but is another outdoor dining option to add to your list.
While no table service restaurants at Hollywood Studios have outdoor dining, the lounge beside the Hollywood Brown Derby is an excellent choice for a reservation-free outdoor meal from a smaller version of the restaurant’s delicious menu.
Considering outdoor dining options at Hollywood Studios are slim, I’ll also mention BaseLine Tap House here. Only drinks and snacks are served, but outdoor seating is a plus.

Animal Kingdom Restaurants with Outdoor Seating
Disney’s Animal Kingdom offers excellent quick service dining and many also have large outdoor dining spaces. Win-win!
Flame Tree BBQ will offer the best view on the waterfront. Harambe Market in Africa has plenty of outdoor tables. Asia’s Yak & Yeti Local Food Cafes offers ample outdoor seating off the beaten path.
Near the bridge to Pandora, Pizzfari primarily offers large indoor dining rooms, but there’s a secluded outdoor area with a decent number of tables.
Like Pizzafari, Satu’li Canteen has both indoor and outdoor seating. Unlike Pizzafari, Satu’li Canteen’s outdoor seating area is right out front of the restaurant and all guests must walk through this space to get inside. While a decent amount of outdoor seating is available, it’s far more congested than most.
Dino Diner and Eight Spoon Cafe have limited menus and a limited number of outdoor tables.
You’re out of luck for al fresco table service dining at Animal Kingdom. Only the Nomad Lounge beside Tiffins Restaurant offers a lovely waterfront covered patio to enjoy your drinks and lounge food.
