Disney Art of Animation Resort Finding Nemo Family Suite Room Tour

When the grandparents joined us for part of a Disney vacation, we wanted to all stay in a suite so that we could enjoy most of our two days together. With limited options offering occupancy for six on a reasonable budget, we chose a Finding Nemo family suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort as the best value for everyone to be together.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is categorized as a value resort. One section does include Little Mermaid-themed standard rooms, however, the majority of the resort offers family suites that are twice the size of a regular room. These family suites are split into three themed sections – Cars, Lion King, and Finding Nemo. Family suites in all sections include the same features – three sleeping areas, two full bathrooms, and a kitchenette – only differing in theme.
Unlike all other Disney value resorts, the Art of Animation family suites are housed in buildings with inside corridors and that’s where we’ll begin our tour…
The Finding Nemo area is quite calming with serene shades of watery blue. It’s a lovely reprieve from the chaos outside!
Just inside the front door is a dining room with a table and four chairs – a rarity in a Disney room outside of a suite or DVC villa. The table folds down to reveal a full-size murphy bed that is reasonably comfortable. These suites are full of the cutest details and I loved the bubble lights on the ceiling.
One of two full bathrooms opens into this dining/temporary bedroom space. It’s themed as the sharks’ sunken submarine with a single sink vanity and a tub/shower combo.
Beyond the dining room is the living room with a loveseat-sized sofa bed, television, and kitchenette with microwave, sink, coffee maker, and fridge. We always bring food for breakfast in the room and snacks when we return “home” from the parks in the evening, so this expanded kitchen area is very convenient with plenty of storage space.
The full-size sofa bed here is the second sleeping space in the suite. A chair and cute ottomans provide more seating and are lightweight so they are easily moved to make room to pull out the bed.
This space also has an open closet with bench as well as drawers beneath the television. An open closet smack dab in the living room isn’t ideal from a clutter perspective, but it’s serves its purpose.
A separate bedroom has a queen bed and its own ensuite full bathroom. We gave the grandparents this real bed and their own bathroom so they didn’t need to share with the grandkids! The bathroom features a single sink, toilet, and a walk-in shower. The jellyfish bedside table lamps in the bedroom are some of the cutest touches in the entire suite.
Despite having indoor corridors, there are no balconies on the outside of the Art of Animation family suite buildings, only windows from the living room and bedroom.
I plan on sharing a full review of Art of Animation as well as comparisons to similar Disney lodging options soon (spoiler alert: we really aren’t fans of this resort!), but I’ll stay unbiased and stick to the features in this room tour. It served our need as a party of six well and its fun, bright theming is difficult to beat.
