Started in 2016 following our first family road trip through the American southwest, Tulip and Snowflake has grown to include trip planning advice for family vacations from cross-country road trips to a week at Disney World. We’re a bunch of introverts who look for quiet paths and avoid crowds all while staying on a modest vacation budget. Our best times together are hiking quiet trails early in the morning and enjoying our favorite family attractions at Disney World.

My goal is to make Disney World trip planning less overwhelming, inspire road trip travel with kids, and help you find quiet places off the beaten path at America’s most popular family vacation destinations.

On Tulip and Snowflake, you will read a lot about travel with kids from planning cross-country road trips to sharing Walt Disney World tips to simply enjoying the outdoors at National Parks near and far. Here are a few of my favorite blog posts to get you started:

My husband and our two boys live in beautiful North Carolina, midway between the beach and the mountains. I grew up in Florida after a move from my childhood home in New Jersey and spent summers taking road trips up and down the East Coast with my family. As Floridians, Disney World was a frequent weekend getaway for over two decades so returning now always feels like going home.

These days, I’m always planning the next road trip and Disney World vacation for my own family with our spring and winter babies, our Tulip and our Snowflake (yes, we did the whole cheesy Winter One-derland first birthday party – no shame!). I’ve watched Disney World change so much since my first visit in 1984 and love sharing my insight to touring the Most Magical Place on Earth.
